In much the same way, early computer games of the arcade era were built from simple pixels, echoing the work of Neo-Impressionist painters of the 1880s. PAC-MAN, a maze game born of that early digital age, shares its roots with the same decade as the subject of the portrait, a reminder of how art and technology often mirror one another across time.
