Their civilization stretches back over 6,000 years, and with it, practices like face and body painting continue, rituals of beauty, identity, and belonging. For Samir, these aren’t just old ways. They are living expressions of who he is, what he’s inherited, and what he passes to his children. In them, he keeps the memory of his ancestors and the rhythms of a people tied to their land, their stories, and each other.
